I’m a licensed Psychotherapist practicing in Los Angeles with over 30 years of experience in private practice.

Alongside my practice I've worked in numerous mental health settings including inpatient psychiatric units, state hospitals, addictions rehab, transitional living, college counseling and eating disorder inpatient and outpatient treatment centers.

As a specialist in eating disorders, I work with both clinical eating disorders and all forms of disordered eating, chronic dieting, exercise addiction and orthorexia. Often working with clients with both eating disorders combined with other forms of alcohol and drug addiction, I meet people where they are and hopefully journey into recovery at whatever pace feels right. Over the years I’ve developed a deep understanding and patience for how bumpy and circuitous that journey can be.

I have extensive experience in treating depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder especially in their earliest manifestations in the late teens and college years. Once the acute fires have been put out or managed, therapy mostly centers on our relationships with ourselves and others. Rewarding relationships being at the core of what we all long for despite how difficult and confounding they can be to achieve.

Utilizing mainly psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy I also mix in a fair share of life coaching as I believe the practical chaos of our lives impacts our happiness as much as our internal states. Clients would describe my work as active and hands on.

Additionally, prior to becoming a therapist I worked as a singer for 10 years both in the US and Europe giving me a depth of understanding and love of the arts and the individuals who work and play creatively.
